Changing Lead Status and how to add Custom Lead Status


You can get to manage high amounts of leads and contacts on a daily basis. This makes it important to have marks and statuses for the ones you've already updated. Managing leads will be easier if you sort them in order to remember in which state of the sales process the are and to know which action is the next you should take.

To change the status of a contact is really easy, follow this quick guide.

Once you've logged in to your account, click on the Contacts tab.

Then, select a Contact you would like to change its status. Once you are in the Contact's information, select the "Lead Status" from the drop-down list.

Once you've selected the status you need, make sure to click on the "Change Status" button to save the changes. A confirmation pop up will show on the upper right corner of the screen and the Activities log will also be updated. 

We have some predefined statuses available (New, Working Lead, Processing, Closed, etc.) that are really useful, but you can also create custom statuses.

To create a Custom Lead Status, follow this simple process:

Go into your Contacts tab and click on "Settings". 

Then, click on "Custom Lead Statuses".

Once you are there, click on the "Add" button located on the right upper corner of the screen. A pop up will display so you can enter the new "Lead Status Label". Make sure to click on "Add Custom Lead Status" once you have entered the new one.

All the new labels will show on the Lead Statuses list. You can hide default statuses, delete custom statuses and move them around. Please make sure to save the changes once you're done.

That's it! Now you will have the Custom Lead Status available on the dropdown list for you to organize your contacts more efficiently.
